Ben Barnes rides as Prince Caspian of Narnia through the woods. Even in personal life he's romantic. And still single!
Sometimes Ben Barnes wakes up and thinks he just dreamed everything. Then he's scared "that I just imagined all the success" says the 26 year old during an interview in Berlin. But everything's reality: in 2006 the thespian from London made his TV debut in the british series Doctors. One year after that he landed a little role next to Hollywood star Sienna Miller in the fantasy film Stardust. And now the lead role in The Chronicles of narnia: Prince Caspian (starting July 31st). And an end of this dream isn't in sight: the next chronicle The Voyage of the Dawntrader will be shot soon.
IS: The british media said you're bringing sex appeal into fantasy movies.
BB: That's really flattering. But to be honest I'd like to have sex instead of having sex appeal.
IS: So you don't have a girlfriend?
BB: No, unfortunately I'm single right now.
IS: Which kind of woman would you like?
BB: Jessica Beal is really cute and simply perfect. I'd take Natalie Portman or Sienna Miller too.
IS: Are you a romantiv person?
BB: Yes, that's why I like the Narnia shooting so much. Riding as a prince through the woods of Newzealand was very romantic. Even if my butt hurt so much every night that I had to buy some stuffed cycling tights. I wouldn't have survived sitting on a bar stool.
IS: Which bars do you go to?
BB: To the "Rose & Crown" in my hometown Wimbledon. Earlier on I waited at table and always had to bother with drunken guys. Das was really depressing. I am so happy that this time is over.
IS: What did you buy from your first fee?
BB: An italian watch from Locman. As a sign that the better times have come.
