Ooh thanks for being so welcoming and I'm glad you enjoyed my report. Steelsheen When he played the drums I didn't actually realise it was him at first, I was too busy trying to see what was going on at the other end of the room where they were shooting the scene. i'd kind of forgotten that he could play the drums and he played along perfectly so I assumed it was the usual drummer until I turned round. As for his singing voice, I prefer the more rock sound of this film. Easy Virtue is great but he sounds really good on this and he definitely seemed into the whole performance. A couple of other things I remembered, he did at one point say something in his irish accent though I couldn't actually make out what he said. There was also a point where he started shouting "Bernard!" just before a take as Robert had lost his plectrum. Then the crew were shouting "Bernard, the whole production is falling apart here!" and everyone laughed. Robert eventually found one of his plectrums on a speaker. I got a text from Sean Curren shortly after posting my report saying that they need more people for Wednesday from 10.30am til 4.30pm so hopefully I'll get to go again! I'll keep you updated!

Something to be: Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful experience Hopefully we see you in that scene. Massive shoulder pads?! That must have been soooooo cringe-worthy! I can just imagine! But this was supposed to be in the 80's? late 70's?? It's good that Ben got to exhibit his drum skills... We've heard him sing and play the piano in Easy Virtue. So this will be different, fresh and completely exciting! Can't wait!! Hopefully it gets released in Australia. Thanks again Something to be.

I'll keep you updated! ohh good for you! more picks ups of the same concert? another McCormick gig? Neil did say that he and Ivan developed a good loyal following even if they werent signed. wonder if you are gonna be part of the "McCormick fanbase" so Ben is a great frontman AND a talented drummer? good grief, i didnt think my admiration for the man can get any higher but it just went through the roof! thanks for the added update Something To Be post more stories of the shoot, no matter how trivial it may seem to you, we here would always be eager to read of it good luck on the next shoot!

But this was supposed to be in the 80's? late 70's?? shoulder pads is an 80s wardrobe staple. thank goodness they got phased out when the 90s hit. i hated the shoulder pads, always got rid of them. but then i remember being ridiculed for wearing clothes that didnt have them. come to think of it, my fashion style has always been more "grunge" even before the term got coined in the 90s. so yes i may have been a kid of the 80s but i live for the 90s, everything about that era was just so me. (everything except the boy band thingy, but i digress )

You reckon they'd be in trend again? Because that would absolutely be a fashion crime!!! I love grunge outfits. Tartan/checks/flannel shirts and distressed denim is still well and alive. I have a few check shirts mylsef that I wear a lot.
