The Prince of Narnia Will Be the New Dorian Gray

Ben Barnes, the young protagonist in The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian was chosen as the protagonist in the new movie based on the Oscar Wilde masterpiece: The Picture of Dorian Gray.

The story is about a young man obsessed with the thought that, with the passing of years, his beauty was destined to fade. His desire to remain young comes true thanks to a portrait that ages in his place and reflects the misdeeds of Dorian Gray and changes throughout his life.

The remake will premier 28 July and the director Oliver Parker (that has already signed onto 2 other movies based on short works of Wilde; An Ideal Husband and The Importance of Being Earnest) intends to make a dark-horror version of The Picture of Dorian Gray.
